Has anyone ever used biofeedback, neurofeedback, or hypnosis for their anxiety and depression?

I’m looking for people who have gone through these. I just wanted to know if any of these treatments helped relieve fears, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, or depression.

I am on meds but still having a hard time. I can’t enjoy any aspect of life right now because of my anxiety. So if any one has experience with these treatments, please let me know!

(Also, how expensive can it get without insurance?)

Have only tried hypnosis for fears, anxiety, panic attacks ( I used to have severe cramping and diarrhea when I was writing exams.) but IT DIDN’T HELP AT ALL disappointedly. :’( Now it is cured by chinese medicine instead. weird. Expensive treatment i would say.

It CAN be fixed! Herbalism, Homeopathy, or Energy Psychology may be the way for you to go! It’s a very up-and-coming field, with stunning results.
You can actually find out more about it here, at The Body Healer:
    https://www.thebodyhealer.com/healingsystems/energypsychology/

You may want to go to that site, and search their news database:
    https://www.thebodyhealer.com/news_headlines.asp
Search for “stress”, “anxiety”, or both words at the same time: “stress anxiety”. They have all the latest articles on alternative healing methods, and categorize it really well. I found some answers in there, through various articles.

I was never in your sad shape, but had some stresses and worries that affected sleep and other things. I used a type of calming meditation and could work out the real problems. It will help if you really apply a technique. I never used meds though in the 70’s, there was a time—, but I quit because it was not legal. Are most of your problems just a product of your own thoughts?Usually the things we fear the most are not even real.

Hypnosis and the other two marketing names for hypnosis can all be used successfully. The effectiveness depends on the skill of the hypnotist.

Your best bet is plain old, unsexy Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Unlike hypnosis, CBT has been scientifically shown to help with all of the above. Hypnosis is cool and all, but at best will only provide a coping mechanism for your anxiety and depression.

As for how much it can cost…the sky’s the limit. Most of the time, you don’t become a hypnotist to help people, you become one to have power over people (or yourself).

    Check out the following link:
Notice the references and links to scientific studies, and specific claims.

    Now look at this:
Notice the reference to a single, mass-market book, and the vague, general claims.

I was able to manage my anxiety by using an audio hypnotherapy product right in the privacy of my own home, when I felt I really needed the self-help and as often as I wanted to use it.

The audio hypnotherapy CD allowed me to get into a state of focused attention and then be guided through the exercises that helped me learn how to adapt to different stressful situations, which, no question, helped to decrease the anxiety.

The other great thing about this product is that is does not cost nearly the amount of money seeing a hypnotist does. This product was really great and you can get more information here.
